An der Sapulewa hat Wilhelm die gesuchte 'Weiße Ente' geschossen. Sie ist aber auf dem ganzen Rücken schwarz u. braun. Leider hatten wir kein Präparierzeug. Du wirst gesehen haben, daß ich die (???) vergessen habe. Conserven habe ich außer einer Confitüre noch nicht angebrochen. Herzl. Gruß K.D.</em>" <br /><br />English translation: <br />"<em>8.8. </em><br /><em>D. S. [Dear Stresemann] Today the Orangkaja is going to Wahai, so I want to send you a message. I am only marching to Kanike today. At the Sapulewa, Wilhelm shot the sought-after 'White Duck.' However, it is black and brown all over its back.
