Description
Hip belt for women, consisting of a rattan strip with incised ornaments, strung with (partially broken) "puli", discs made of tortoise shell. Multiple hip belts were typically worn over a "cidako" (loincloth) or sarong. The "puli" were turned backwards when the hip belt was worn. According to the original catalogue attributed to the "Wemale"

Provenance
Donated to the museum by "O. Lotichius" (presumably Otto Lotichius) in 1913. Until 02/2025, O. Lotichius was not mentioned and the receipt of the object was recorded as purchase in the database. However, the inventory book clearly indicated a donation by O. Lotichius.
