Curatorial notes
As described by Stresemann (1914) and Haffer (1997), Deninger collected a number of bird specimens on the island Buru during his first expedition to Maluku in 1906/07 which were in part transferred to the Bavarian State Collections of Natural History. Today, the collection holds about 24 individuals with this provenance. This specific specimen is poorly preserved, possibly due to preparation conditions.
